The Wisdom of Truth 12 Essays by the Holy Kabbalist Rav Yehuda Ashlag ...If you have a true desire to cleave to the Creator, there is no more important understanding and source than this book. --Michael Berg, from the Foreword Kabbalist Rav Yehuda Ashlag was arguably the most profound mystic and spiritual teacher of the 20th Century. Among his many gifts was his ability to take complex concepts and decipher them in a systematic fashion, distilling them down to their very essence. His writings are so pithy that they are studied repeatedly for the deep insights they offer into human nature and the spiritual realm. In fact, it is almost impossible to be a student of Kabbalah without immersing oneself in and internalizing Rav Ashlag's teachings, especially his teachings that appear in this collection. His best-known writings are included, among them his "Article for the Completion of the Zohar", written after he had translated the Zohar for the first time ever from its original Aramaic into Hebrew, as well as the "Article on the Giving og the Torah", the "Article on Responsibility", and the "Article on Peace". This new translation from the original Hebrew has been edited by renowned scholar Michael Berg. The 12 essays presented here are remarkable in that they cover and condense all of the basic truths of Kabbalah. Essentially, the essays all of the basic truths of Kabbalah. Essentially, the essays are about human dignity and how people must behave toward one another in order to eliminate chaos in the world, based on the abiding principle of "Love Thy Neighbour as Thyself." Rav Ashlag understood that the transformation of human consciousness from a state of desiring to receive to desiring to give - that is, from greed and selfishness to love and sharing - is the true challenge of humankind. Rav Yehuda Ashlag Born in Poland in 1886, Kabbalist Rav Yehuda Ashlag is revered by students of Kabbalah as one of the most profound mystics and spiritual teachers of the 20th Century. Among his many accomplishments was the firstever translation of the Zohar from its original Aramaic into Hebrew. Rav Ashlag felt a powerful need to reveal the wisdom of Kabbalah to the massesm which had previously been prohibited. This desire led him to found the Kabbalah Cente in Jerusalem in 1922, making the wisdom widely available for the first time, and thus passing on a legacy that continues to this day through Kabbalah Centre International, its teachers and students worldwide. He was the teacher and spiritual master of Rav Yehuda Brandwein, to whom leadership of The Centre was passed when Rav Ashlag died in 1954. In turn, when Rav Brandwein died in 1969, he designated Kabbalaist Rav Berg to lead The Centre. //
